Players can engage in three types of rhythm games within the game's career mode or quick play sessions. One type involves moving a microphone icon to catch notes, stars, and full hearts while avoiding broken hearts. On the Wii version, full-motion video from the show runs in the background, while on the Nintendo 3DS, 3D animated scenes are used.

In another game, notes fall from the sky, and players must catch them along with butterflies before they reach the bottom of the screen. The third game is a trivia challenge where players must guess song titles or lyrics based on excerpts within a timer.
