Axiom Verge

The game features an open-world environment where Trace can travel through different areas, but needs better gear and weapons to progress. Players must use found items, such as the Modified Labcoat and Grapple, to unlock new pathways, often requiring backtracking. Upgrades for health and weapons can be obtained by exploring every area, and some secret paths can only be accessed with specific weapons.

The environment on Sudra is diverse, with varying amounts of alien life forms in different areas. Enemies respawn after leaving the general area, dropping health upon defeat.
