Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance is the second game in the Castlevania series to appear on the Game Boy Advance. Juste Belmont and his friend Maxim are drawn to Dracula's Castle, which has been resurrected, with the intention of saving their mutual friend Lydie, but it remains unclear who will ultimately be saved.
The game follows an action/RPG style similar to previous Castlevania titles such as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. In this game, Juste can dash at will like Alucard and use subweapons like the axe and holy water. By combining these with magic tomes located throughout the castle, he can increase their power and properties. For example, he can turn holy water into a damaging rain or transform a Bible into a protective shield. Juste can equip various armor and accessories and modify his Vampire Killer whip with different tips to alter its elemental property or increase its power.

Game Guide
Extracted from the original game manual
Set fifty years after Simon Belmont's defeat of Dracula, this action-adventure game follows Juste Belmont as he embarks on a mission to recover the vampire lord's relics. The story begins when Juste learns that his childhood friend Lydie has been kidnapped and his companion Maxim has returned with mysterious injuries and amnesia. Together, they track the perpetrators to a mysterious, fog-shrouded castle that appears on no map, ultimately discovering it to be the return of Dracula's fortress.
Story
Prologue
Fifty years have passed since Simon Belmont vanquished the curse of Dracula.
Fate has dictated that Juste Belmont, a blood descendant of the Belmont Family, hunt for the relics of Dracula.
The Kidnapping
One day, Juste's best friend, Maxim, returned unexpectedly after setting out on a training expedition two years earlier. His body was covered with wounds, and he informed Juste that Lydie, a childhood friend whom they both deeply care about, had been kidnapped.
Maxim had completely lost his memory of his time training away from home, retaining only vague images of the kidnapping. Ignoring his bodily injuries, he led Juste to the place where he believed Lydie was being held captive.
The Forbidden Castle
Passing through thick fog, the two men happened upon a castle undocumented on any map. Could this be the fabled Dracula's castle?
Standing solemnly in the night, this forbidding castle welcomes its unexpected guests as the moonlight shines upon it.
