How to Play
Powering On
•
Turn OFF the power switch on your Nintendo® Game Boy® Advance.
•
Insert the Game Pak into the slot and press firmly to lock it in place.
•
Turn ON the POWER switch.
•
When the title screen appears, press START to proceed to the Main Menu.
Game Options
•
Sound FX: Press A to turn sound effects ON or OFF.
•
Music: Press A to turn music ON or OFF.
•
Language: Press A to select English or French.
Save & Quit
•
Save: Save at your last Checkpoint and restart when ready.
•
Quit: Exit the game.
Main Menu (Cyber Chase)
•
Start: Begin a brand new game of *Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase*.
•
Password: Continue where you left off using a password.
•
Options: Customize game settings before playing.
Options Menu (Cyber Chase)
•
Music: Turn the game's music ON or OFF.
•
Sound FX: Turn the game's sound effects ON or OFF.
•
Skill: Set the difficulty level to easy or hard.
•
Done: Return to the Main Menu.
Game Objective
Your goal is to figure out who unleashed the Phantom Virus. Escape each level by finding the box of Scooby Snacks, which reveals the path to the next challenge. Solve the mystery by searching for clues, collecting items, and exploring rooms.
Character Select
All five members of the Scooby gang begin the game, but only one character can play a computer level at a time. You can select any character for each level; if you are caught by the Phantom Virus, you must choose another member to complete the level. This gives you five total chances to get through the game.
Level Selection
Find a CD in the lab and take it to the laser to open a new level. Press the L Button to choose your character for that level. Only characters who have not been captured will be available.

Scooby-Doo
A controllable character that can be selected to lead when traveling with Shaggy.
Shaggy
A controllable character that can be selected to lead when traveling with Scooby-Doo.

Items & Weapons
Scooby Snacks
Eating a Single Scooby Snack returns one scared character to normal, while a Scooby Snack Box returns both Scooby and Shaggy to normal. You must collect all required snacks in a level to find the box.
Battery Packs
Battery Packs are used to recharge Scooby's items, which are all powered by electricity.
Wisps
Wisps are floating balls of glowing energy used to recharge Shaggy's Tome of Doom; Large Wisps are picked up instantly while Small Wisps can be captured from a distance or pulled from Large Wisps using the Tome.
Sandwich Ingredients
These are rare collectible items that, when five are found, grant the player an extra “Try.”
Keys
The correct key automatically opens a locked door but disappears from the inventory after use.
Wrenches
Wrenches are tools used to repair broken items, such as elevators.
Crates
Crates can block the way but can be jumped on top of to reach higher places.
Switches
Turning switches on or off allows the player to unlock doors, light up dark areas, or rearrange floors and walls.
Columns
Players can hide behind columns to avoid being spotted or attacked by incoming enemies.
Doors/Elevators
These allow travel to different floors, though they may require a key or repair work to function.
The Tome of Doom
Shaggy's item for supernatural combat that targets ghosts, drains their life force, and recharges using Wisps.
Jackhammer
Scooby can use the Jackhammer to dig to underground sections or pass through dirt walls, but can only move right, left, or down and cannot use it while sneaking.
Lantern
The lantern automatically lights the way in pitch-dark areas and turns off in lit areas, but may run out of power.
Megaphone
Scooby-Doo can use the Megaphone to stun enemies with a three-way sonic attack, though it cannot be used while sneaking.
Super Spooker 3000
This weapon scares away potential enemies for a few shots, causing them to run away, but it cannot be used while sneaking.
Disguise
Picking up a disguise icon puts the character into a disguise, making it much easier to sneak past monsters.
Smiley Faces
Picking up a smiley face icon increases the character's health.
Scooby Snacks Box
Finding the Scooby Snacks box signifies level completion and zaps the player back to the lab to unlock a new level.
