Juka and the Monophonic Menace

Years after the mysterious disappearance of the Ancients, their machines were discovered by the Settlers, who built their cities in the lands where the machinery was left. However, the peaceful existence of the Settlers was shattered when powerful alchemists attempted to harness the power of the Ancients' devices, sparking war and leading to the deaths or exile of those who dared to use them.

The Dark Alchemists, as they became known, were eventually defeated, but a legendary figure, the Monophonic Menace, was said to have escaped, vowing to return and conquer the world.
