Dino Crisis is a survival horror game that follows the story of Dr. Kirk, who disappeared three years ago while researching a new form of energy on his private island laboratory. The government that funded his research sends a special forces team to extract him and his research, but they are unprepared for the side effects of his developments.
The game takes place in 3D, with rotating and panning cameras, similar to its sister series Resident Evil . Protagonist Regina must navigate through rooms, finding keys (both figurative and literal) to unlock locked areas. However, she will find very few actual supplies laying around, and instead discover "plugs" that open caches of emergency supplies. With only enough plugs to access some of these caches, Regina must carefully decide which items to prioritize.
The game features a unique blend of survival horror elements, with deadly enemies that can chase and disarm Regina, as well as occasionally following her through doors. Players will need to use the force fields in the complex to block her enemies and stay alive.
