The story of Ar Tonelico II Melody of Metafalica takes place in a world where humans and magical creatures, known as "Tono," coexist. The game follows the journey of Stilchine, a young girl who possesses the ability to hear the songs of the Tono. As she embarks on a quest to save her village from destruction, she discovers that her voice holds the key to unlocking the secrets of the Tono and the world's fate.

Players control Stilchine as she explores a vast open world, completes quests, and engages in turn-based combat. The game features a unique "Song" system, where players can use Stilchine's voice to heal or deal damage to enemies. The game also has a deep character customization system, allowing players to craft and upgrade equipment for their characters.

Tips & Maps
Back Row Attack
The two Reyvateils in the back row will sing together during combat, producing a breathtaking effect.
How to sing a Magic Song
Press the O button to display a list of Magic Songs, then select and activate the desired one. If no order is given, Reyvateils will not sing.
Song-Re Gauge
The Song-Re Gauge must be displayed to use a Song; it empties after use and refills over time.
Explosion Degree
This shows the passion a Reyvateil puts into her song, increasing the Magic Song's power and influencing its level-up rate.
Level Up
You can increase the level of a Magic Song by keeping the Explosion Degree above a certain level.
Song Genre
There are two genres of Magic Song: 'Red Magic' for attacks, which works when activated, and 'Blue Magic' for support, which works when sung.
Magic Song and MP
Magic Songs consume MP while sung; if MP reaches 0, the song automatically activates with reduced effect, and MP recovers when singing stops.
