Who Wants to Be A Millionaire: Party Edition is a quiz game based on the successful TV show, suitable for multiplayer. The player takes the role of a candidate and must answer 15 questions by choosing one of four given possibilities. For every correct answer, they receive money, but also lose money if they choose incorrectly. There are two "guarantee points" where they can avoid losing all their progress. Three jokers are available: eliminating two false answers, asking the viewers for a poll, or phoning a friend.
The game has a more comical tone due to the player's character choice and humorous statements during the game. New features include three difficulty levels: "normal" (standard rules), "easy" (three extra lives), and "hard" (no jokers). A "quick fire" mode requires answering as many questions as possible within time limits.
Multiplayer mode deviates from the original rules. Players can buzz in after a question is stated, with the fastest player getting to answer first or stealing it from another player. Each player has three lives and can force another player to answer a question, but risks punishment if they get it right. The goal is to answer 15 questions correctly, with additional multiplayer variations such as "quick fire", "play-or-pass", "millionaire remix" (collecting lives and guarantee points), and "multimillionaire" (team-based).
