Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce

The main difference in this installment is that players can choose only one character for their force, which starts in a village acting as the game's hub. Completing story missions will add new characters to play without starting a new game, keeping acquired items and materials.

The chosen character can be customized with different weapons and abilities. Apart from the main weapon, a sub-weapon can be equipped, and both can be switched during battle to suit the situation. The Chi system allows players to set special abilities for their character, with four slots available. Customization options also include Orbs that provide unique properties.

In the village, players can exchange materials, buy weaponry, items, Chi skills, and Orbs. Some NPCs may appear, offering materials or Officer cards that aid the Village's growth. Over time, better items can be acquired from shops.

By choosing missions on the quest board or speaking with the Guard at the village gate, players can select battles. Each battle consists of multiple maps where enemy soldiers and weaponry are fought, ultimately leading to the commander. Goals vary, including classic objectives like defeating a commander or retrieving treasure boxes. Bonus missions require specific actions within time limits for extra experience points.

New additions to the battle system include aerial battles and the Fury Mode, activated when the Fury gauge is full. The furied character has improved stats and move sets, unleashing the Musou attack for increased damage. Large boss battles feature massive beast-like weapons that often require player assistance to defeat. Multiplayer mode is available via AdHoc connection for up to four players.
