Rorschach's Journal: November, 5, 1971, I wish the scum of the earth had one throat and I had my hands around it. I was investigating a jailbreak with Nite Owl. It seems Underboss is behind it. We put him away in '66. Time to go to work. This city is afraid of me, I've seen its true face.
Watchmen: The End Is Nigh , set 10 years before the events of the graphic novel and film adaptation from Warner Brothers, is based on the story of two vigilantes investigating a prison break. As Rorschach or Nite Owl II, they uncover clues that suggest an old foe, Underboss, is behind the break. But nothing in this world is as it seems.
The game features a deep combat system with counters and throws to master, and many moves to unlock for each playable character, who has a unique style and moves. The gameplay is similar to a brawler, like Streets Of Rage. The game is divided into six chapters and can be played alone with the A.I. controlling the other hero, or Co-Op on the same screen.
Jackie Earle Haley and Patrick Wilson reprise their roles as Rorschach and Nite Owl II respectively in this game.
Watchmen: The End Is Nigh was released for the Playstation 3 console on July 24, 2009, and is an action-adventure game in the genre.
