Gameplay in the PlayStation Vita version is similar to other console versions, with the added bonus of an isometric view that allows for a fresh perspective on familiar levels. Players can use various controls such as the Circle Pad, L and R buttons, Y and X buttons, B button, and A button to navigate characters, attack, dodge, build LEGO objects, and interact with other characters and objects.

The game includes 15 stages to complete, along with timed quests that grant gold bricks towards completion.
