The game Captain America and the Avengers follows the story of four Marvel Comics heroes as they take on the evil Red Skull. The villain has assembled a team of super-villains to conquer the world, and it's up to Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Vision to stop him.
The gameplay is a mix of side-scrolling brawler action and shooting stages. Players can choose from one to four players, taking turns as each of the four Avengers characters. The game features five stages, each with its own unique challenges and enemies. Boss battles against powerful villains like Living Laser and Red Skull are scattered throughout the levels.
Quicksilver provides temporary boosts to energy replenishment, while the Wasp can add protection and firepower in certain areas. With a range of challenging levels and exciting boss battles, Captain America and the Avengers is an action-packed adventure that's fun for all players.

In this action-adventure beat-'em-up game, players take on the roles of the Avengers to stop Red Skull from funding a network of super villains with stolen World War II gold. To thwart his plans of global domination, players must fight their way through five increasingly difficult levels spanning city streets, the deep sea, and a lunar base. Along the journey, players battle iconic villains like Klaw, Ultron, and Juggernaut before ultimately confronting Red Skull himself to destroy his mind-control machine and giant laser cannon.
Story
The Mission
"Avengers Assemble! Sources reveal that underworld criminals are laundering tons of illegal gold bullion for Red Skull. Serial numbers indicate that the bullion was stolen from European countries during World War II."
"With his ill-gotten gains, Red Skull is organizing a network of super villains. Red Skull controls their evil schemes with his mind control machine. We must discover their base and stop them before it's too late!"
The Adventure
Muscle through five levels of increasingly difficult battles with the forces of Red Skull. Live the Avengers' legend and come face-to-face with Red Skull himself!
The Avengers
"Avengers Assemble! Klaw has been seen in the downtown sector. He can lead us to Red Skull!"
Fight your way through city streets and alleys to the waterfront. You must survive battle against Klaw, Laser, and Whirlwind. This could be an ill wind...
Target Town
"Avengers Assemble! We must rescue the other towns before it is too late."
More towns are being invaded by Red Skull and his Mind Controlled villains. Meet Mammoth Robot and Grim Reaper! This is no picnic.
Challenge from the Bottom of the Sea
"Avengers Assemble! Time is growing short. We must find and destroy Red Skull's underwater base."
Scramble over a ship's damaged deck and watch out for Wizard! Dive beneath the sea for watery battles against Mecha Octo and Mandarin. Better hold your breath!
The Giant Laser Cannon
"Avengers Assemble! We must attack Red Skull's moonbase. There we will find the cannon and Red Skull."
From the dark side of the moon, Red Skull is aiming his laser cannon at earth. Destroy this weapon before the planet is destroyed! And don't forget about Juggernaut and Ultron. They have a special nightmare planned just for you.

"Avengers Assemble! We must find the control room and destroy Red Skull."
At last, just Crossbones, Red Skull, and Mecha Red Skull left. It's them or you. Look to deep space for a key to success.
How to Play
How to Start the Game
Put Captain America and The Avengers in your Super Nintendo Entertainment System® (Super NES). Turn on the Super NES and wait for the title screen.
Main Menu Options
Use the Control Pad to point to a selection, then press Start:
•
1 Player - Play against the Super NES.
•
2 Players - Play with a friend.
•
Options - Set up to three options (Difficulty, Continues, or Controller).
•
Training - Practice fighting with a friend.
Game Settings
Under the Options menu, you can customize the following settings:
•
Difficulty - Select Easy, Medium, or Hard.
•
Continues - Select 3, 4, or 5 lives.
•
Controller - Lets you change the game controls.
After setting your options, choose 1 Player or 2 Players.
Character Selection
After you select the number of players or a training session and press Start, the Choose a Hero screen appears.

Use a Special Weapon

Jumping Attack - Tap B to low jump and press Y to punch. Add the cursor to attack at an angle toward the ground
B + A
Jumping Special Weapon - At the top of a high jumping attack, press A to add the Special Weapon to the assault. Press B and quickly tap A to make Iron Man or Vision hover in the air
A + Left Arrow or Right Arrow
Special Attack - Press A and use the Control Pad to help your superhero do a Special Attack. Captain America does a Shield Ram, Vision and Iron Man do Charging Attacks, and Hawkeye does a Sliding Attack
