As Super R-Type , you play as the R-9, a spaceship designed to defend Earth against the BYDO Empire. Your mission is to navigate through seven stages, collecting power-ups to take down the stage bosses that have been resurrected from the arcade versions of R-Type and R-Type II . Along the way, you can team up with FORCE units, which provide invincibility and support to your ship.

The gameplay is fast-paced and action-packed, requiring quick reflexes to dodge enemy fire and navigate through treacherous terrain. With a variety of power-ups at your disposal, you'll need to strategize carefully to take down the toughest bosses and progress through the game.
