DJ Hero is in the same vein as the Guitar Hero series, with a DJ's turntable replacing the guitar and dance music taking its place. The game follows your character as you try to keep up with the beat, scoring points for good performances and failing if you fall behind.
Gameplay involves "scratching" your turntable to produce notes in time with the music. As you progress through the songs, the difficulty increases, requiring more precise movements to achieve high scores. If you struggle, you'll be eliminated from the level.
DJ Hero features over 100 tracks by popular artists such as The Black Eyed Peas, DJ AM, Eminem, and Daft Punk.
