Operation Darkness , released on June 24th, 2008, for the Xbox 360 console, follows the Wolf Pack, a team of supernatural soldiers fighting against the Nazis and other forces during WWII. Their mission is to retake Africa and take the fight to Berlin, facing formidable enemies including zombies and vampires.
As a tactical role-playing game, Operation Darkness allows you to move units, attack, or use special abilities. The game also features cover tactics, which enable combined attacks, covering fire, and faster movement. Between missions, you can purchase supplies, equip them, swap out skills, and select new missions.
The game offers a mix of story and optional replayable non-story missions to give extra experience and equipment. Additionally, online multiplayer allows up to four players to team up with up to three units from the campaign, fighting against the Axis powers together. While victories earn rewards, there is no carryover of earned gear or experience between sessions.
