The world of Blue Breaker is called "the path in the middle of empty sky": floating islands connected by bridges. The people in this world believe that a fighter's full initiation can only be completed when they find their true love and marry them. This day has come now for Kain, the game's hero, who must balance his quest to defeat the evil Dark Lord with finding his soulmate. His father explains that he will need to woo several young women before making a choice.
