Select this to Load/Save a game or view credits. You can save your game onto a memory card, or if you don't have one, the game will issue a password after each level.

Select this to change the default button configuration. Follow the on-screen instructions to select one of the alternative keypad configurations.

Use the Pedal Button at every opportunity for speed, but be careful not to go too fast into corners. Use the brakes to scrub off speed before a turn, and double tapping the Brake Button will lock up the rear wheel for extra braking power.

Bouncing allows you to hop over or on large objects without needing a ramp. Hold the Bunny Hop button while stationary to charge up for a bounce hop, with longer holds resulting in higher jumps, but be careful not to hold too long or you'll lose balance.

Pull tricks at every opportunity to earn critical game play power-ups, each associated with a specific trick.

Perform by pressing D-pad-UP & R2 (or L2 for backside). This trick gives you a speed burst power up, activated by double tapping the Pedal Button.

Perform by pressing D-pad-DOWN & R1 (or L1 for backside). This trick decreases crucial seconds off the mission clock, with 720° or greater rotations taking even more time off.

Perform by pressing D-pad-DOWN & R2 (or L2 for backside). This trick provides a Health Power Up, restoring bike health by adding links back to your chain or fixing damage.

Perform by pressing D-pad-Up & A. This trick gives you Double-Bunny power ups, allowing an immediate full height bunny hop by double tapping the Bunny Hop button when the icon is displayed.

Perform by pressing D-pad-Down & A. This trick temporarily confuses the cops, making them dumber, but has no effect if they are not on your tail.

Holding trick combo buttons for The Cross Up, Spread Eagle, and Table Top allows you to project ultimate expression and style, and holding them long enough provides a full supply of the trick's corresponding power up.

You can replay a mission you've already finished to get a better time and more money, but if you get a worse time, you're stuck with the results from your last attempt.

Use wheelies or bunny hops to get over cars and pull tricks to keep power-ups charged, which not only looks cooler but also reduces mission times and allows for buying better bikes sooner.

Give the cops a rude gesture to irritate them, which makes their sirens clear the streets of other traffic, or use a backflip to confuse them if they are on your tail.
