Wipeout 2 is a game based on the "game show" of the same name, where players compete in various events over the course of an episode. The game starts with an introduction by the hosts, followed by a mock interview with the hostess. Events are organized into four rounds: A Qualifier round, an Elimination Round, a Final Four round, and the final Wipeout Zone.
Players compete to complete the stages with the fastest times, dodging giant hammers, bouncing on balls, and managing balancing acts. The game features motion controls using Kinect, Move, or Wii Remote on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii respectively. Players can also use their own Avatar in-game, as well as snapshots taken during gameplay.
The game includes replays, a Practice mode, and behind-the-scenes videos to enhance the gaming experience.
