About Battles
There are two kinds of battles: battling against Wild Pokémon and battling against other Pokémon Trainers. The Pokémon on the left side of your party will appear first.
If you win, each participating Pokémon receives a share of Experience Points. If all of your Pokémon faint, you will lose the battle, be returned to the last Pokémon Center, and lose some money.
Battling Wild Pokémon
Wild Pokémon may attack in caves and grassy areas. You can use a Poké Ball to catch them when they attack. Battling a Pokémon Trainer
If you make eye contact with a Trainer or walk in front of one, they will challenge you. You cannot run from a trainer battle. If you are victorious, you will be rewarded with prize money.
The number of Pokémon each player has is indicated by a filled circle symbol. You cannot catch an opponent Trainer's Pokémon.
Double Battle
Some Trainers attack in pairs, challenging you to a 2-on-2 battle. The left and top-right party Pokémon will appear.
Catching and Raising Pokémon
You can catch Wild Pokémon with Poké Balls. Select "BAG" during battle, choose a Poké Ball, and try to catch it. Once caught, it is added to your party. If your party is full, it goes to "Someone's PC." You can give the caught Pokémon a nickname. Tips for Catching Pokémon
