The story of Jericho is inspired by an ancient prophecy, where a being known as the Firstborn will break through into the mortal world seven times, bringing diseases and corruption. Seven mystics, known as the Jericho Squad, have been tasked with defeating the Firstborn six times already. Now, they must face their final challenge in the city of Al-Khali, where the ground trembles as the Firstborn enters the world once more.

The gameplay of Jericho is a first-person shooter, with each member of the Jericho Squad having unique abilities and weapons. Players can switch between team members and issue orders to change their strategy. The game features a health system where players must find cover to regenerate, and if badly hurt, they risk going down unless healed quickly or both Captain Ross and Father Rawlings are revived.
