Assetto Corsa is a driving simulator. Its focus is on physics models and vehicles' dynamic behaviour, aiming for realism; for example, the tyre rubber deposited on track and sun position are calculated in real time to replicate the same light conditions as real tracks.
The game features various modes, including solo mode with career, practice, and special events, as well as quick race and race weekend options. Multiplayer races can also be edited, with four levels of difficulty to suit different players' needs.
The game offers a first-person view or from inside the cockpit, supporting multiple control peripherals like steering wheels, joysticks, and keyboards. Additional features include car customization, track editing tools, and real-time telemetry data. Players can choose from licensed circuits and select time of day, with options for replay and photo modes.
Licensed tracks include circuits like Imola, Mugello, and Silverstone, while the car roster currently includes models such as the Abarth 500 EsseEsse and Ferrari F1 312T. The game supports motion systems, triple monitors, and virtual reality headsets.
