Assetto Corsa is a driving simulator. Its stress is on physics models and vehicles' dynamic behaviour and general realism; for example, the tyre rubber deposited on track and the sun position are calculated in real time to get the same light conditions of the real tracks.
The game modes include solo mode, career, practice, special events such as drag races and drift challenges, as well as multiplayer options including quick race and race weekend.
Gameplay involves editing and customising vehicles and circuits, with various control peripherals supported including steering wheels and motion systems. The game also features a range of additional modes such as car setup, telemetry, and replay modes.
Licensed tracks include Imola, Magione, Monza, Mugello, Nürburgring, Silverstone, and Vallelunga among others.
The licensed car roster currently includes vehicles from brands like Abarth, BMW, Ferrari, KTM, Lotus, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Pagani, Scuderia Glickenhaus, and Tatuus.
