Metal Walker

The gameplay is similar to Pokémon, where the player explores various areas of the island searching for clues called Data Packets and battling other Metal Walkers or wild Walkers called Metal Busters. Instead of capturing these walkers, the player destroys them, earning scrap metal and items called Capsules that can be used to upgrade or "evolve" Tetsuo's Walker into a more advanced form. The battles are unique, with attacks consisting of rolling motions angled off the walls of arenas, and the possibility of multiple hits on multiple opponents if chosen correctly.

There are three types of Walkers: Land, Marine, and Sky, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, as well as bosses that must be defeated to access more areas of the island. The player can build base camps around various areas of the island, which can be used for restoring health to their Walker. As the player progresses, they will encounter over 100 different Walkers, each with its unique characteristics. Players can also use the Link Cable to battle their Metal Walkers or exchange their base camps.
