Fix-It Felix Jr. is a homebrew game that presents itself as a port of the fictional 1984 game of the same title by the fictional TobiKomi Corporation from the 2012 animated Disney movie Wreck-it Ralph . The gameplay draws inspiration from titles like Donkey Kong and Wrecking Crew.
The story begins with Ralph being awoken when his stump is moved for the construction of a large apartment building called Niceland. He then smashes its windows, leaving it up to Felix to fix them. The game consists of several levels presented as single screens, where Felix has 45 seconds to fix all the windows on three floors. With each hit, one life is removed from his total of three.
Points are scored by fixing the windows, with bonus points for the remaining time. When all windows are fixed, the game moves to a new screen at a higher level. New elements are introduced as the levels progress, such as birds flying in a horizontal line. The game keeps track of the high score and can be played in a Marathon mode. The game is completed when five levels are cleared, earning Felix a medal and a restart with increased speed.
The game was released on a cartridge in two small print runs. In the second run, some bugs were fixed to improve the gameplay experience. It is worth noting that this game is not identical to the 2014 release of the same name by Future Driver.
