The story of Skylanders Swap Force revolves around a young boy named Kaitlyn, who lives on a remote island with his adoptive father. Unbeknownst to them, their world is invaded by an evil force known as the "Evil Emperor" and his minions, the "Chomper". The Chompers are small creatures that can be traded with the player's character, allowing for new abilities and powers.

Gameplay in Skylanders Swap Force involves exploring various environments, such as forests, deserts, and cities, while battling against enemies. Players control Kaitlyn or other characters, using a unique ability called "swapping", which allows the character's body parts to change into different tools and weapons.
