Turok is an updated release of the 1997 PC game Turok: Dinosaur Hunter . The content is largely identical, but this release supports widescreen and higher resolutions, there are some changes to the gameplay and level design, it supports achievements and there are various control methods, including gamepads, with rebinding options. New visual elements include dynamic lighting, bloom, FXAA, enhanced water effects, lights shafts and more.

The story follows Turok, a member of the Ictinike tribe, as he tries to save his people from being wiped out by the evil Scyll and Avy, who are using an ancient technology called the "Tricera-Morphic". The player must navigate through various levels, fight against different dinosaurs and enemies, and solve puzzles to progress through the game.

Gameplay involves action-packed combat with a variety of guns and melee attacks, as well as exploration and platforming elements. The controls can be customized to suit the player's preferences, and the game includes achievements for completionists. Overall, Turok offers a fun and challenging experience for fans of action-adventure games.
