The follow-up to Puyo Puyo 2 is a falling block game where the goal is to combine four or more blocks of the same color, which then disappear. The remaining blocks will then fall down and can produce combos which can cause special blocks to appear on the enemy's field.
The story follows Arle as she fights against computer enemies in a battle to save her kingdom. In addition to this, there is also a vs player mode, where you can challenge your friends, a four-player mode available only on the SNES, and an endless mode that will keep you entertained for hours.
