Far Cry 3 is an action-adventure first-person shooter set on the island of Rook Islands in the Pacific Ocean. The game follows the story of Jason Brody, a young American tourist who gets kidnapped by pirates and left for dead. As he tries to survive and find his way back home, he soon discovers that the island is inhabited by various factions, including the native Rakyta people, who are being exploited by the pirate leader, Savarin.
The gameplay revolves around exploration, combat, and stealth, as Jason navigates through the dense jungle, ruins, and settlements of the island. Players can choose to play with a focus on combat, stealth, or a mix of both, using a variety of firearms, explosives, and melee attacks to take down enemies.
