Yukari Takeba is a high school student and member of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (SEES) in Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3. She wields a bow in combat and summons the Persona Io of the Lovers Arcana. She also makes a minor cameo appearance in Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call as a trading card.
Designed by Shigenori Soejima, this character represents the modern, fashionable youth of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise's sub-series. In Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 (2007), her personal narrative revolves around her late father, Eiichiro Takeba, a researcher whose involvement with the Kirijo Group's disastrous experiments created the Dark Hour. This familial connection drives her quest for truth and initially causes friction with her classmate Mitsuru Kirijo, though they eventually reconcile.
In the expanded release Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES (2008), her role expands significantly during "The Answer" epilogue. Coping with severe grief and denial over the protagonist's fate, she becomes a central figure in a factional conflict over the key to time travel, desiring to alter the past despite the risks.
