Artefacts Studio S.A.S. is a French video game developer founded in 2003. The studio developed Moto Racer 4 and Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders, as well as porting N+ to handheld consoles. They are also known for their work on the Garfield Kart franchise.
The studio's early portfolio includes adapting the acclaimed platformer
N+ (2008) for handheld systems, optimizing its minimalist physics-based gameplay for the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable. Following this, they expanded into licensed sports simulation with
Shawn Johnson Gymnastics (2010) for the Wii and DS.
Within the
Agatha Christie franchise, the developer crafted
Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders (2016), a 3D adventure game that modernized classic point-and-click detective mechanics with a distinct cel-shaded aesthetic. For the
Moto Racer franchise, the company collaborated with industry veteran Paul Cuisset to deliver
Moto Racer 4 (2016) and its
Moto Racer 4 [Deluxe Edition] (2016), followed by subsequent platform releases in 2017. This high-speed racing title utilized Unreal Engine 4 to bring motocross and asphalt racing to eighth-generation consoles, incorporating virtual reality features. Through these projects and their contributions to the
Garfield Kart franchise, the studio established a versatile development history spanning handheld ports, licensed narrative adventures, and arcade racing simulations.
