Milestone S.r.l. is an Italian developer and publisher renowned for its motorsport simulation titles. The company developed and published racing games such as MUD: FIM Motocross World Championship, MotoGP 13, MotoGP 14, Ride, and Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo. They are also the creators behind the popular Hot Wheels Unleashed franchise.
Established in Milan, the studio transitioned from early arcade ports to specialized racing simulations, securing major international licenses. The release of
MUD: FIM Motocross World Championship in 2012 showcased a refined approach to off-road physics, which paved the way for highly detailed annual iterations like
MotoGP 13 and
MotoGP 14. These titles, later compiled in the
Motorbike Racing Pack anthology in 2014, solidified the company's reputation for authentic motorcycle handling.
To diversify beyond licensed championships, the company launched
Ride in 2015, a new intellectual property dedicated to production motorcycle culture. This was followed by
Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo in 2016, which marked a technical venture into rally racing developed in collaboration with the nine-time world champion. In 2019, the publisher was acquired by Koch Media, providing the resources to expand their creative scope. This acquisition culminated in the development of the
Hot Wheels Unleashed franchise, which shifted the studio's focus toward vibrant, arcade-style physics and customizable track editors, becoming one of their most commercially successful properties.
