MUD: FIM Motocross World Championship is a racing game that focuses on action rather than simulation. It's licensed to feature the original teams, vehicles, courses, and athletes from the FIM Championship.
The heart of the game is the Mud World Tour, which is a career mode. By doing well in events (such as normal races with multiple athletes, checkpoint races, elimination races, head-to-head races, or freestyle/trick events), the player earns money that can be used to improve their driver's statistics, equipment, and team selection.
The game also features single races, playing the Championship (MX1, MX2, or custom), and participating in freestyle events where players must perform stunts to gain points. In regular races, tricks play a small role, as there is only one trick to perform: when the bike is airborne, the player can press a button at the right timing.
Multiplayer allows for races with up to 12 players, while the PS Vita version has fewer machines in each race (6 in multiplayer and 8 in single-player races).
MUD: FIM Motocross World Championship was released on September 14, 2012.
