PQube Ltd
A British video game publisher and distributor known for releasing Japanese games, visual novels, and indie titles in Western markets.
About
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Bristol, United Kingdom, PQube Ltd specializes in the publishing and distribution of niche Japanese video games, including fighting games and visual novels. They are well-known for bringing titles from developers like Arc System Works to European audiences, as well as supporting indie game releases.
The publisher established its market presence by securing distribution rights for major interactive entertainment properties across multiple platforms, including the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PlayStation Vita. A cornerstone of its early catalog was the localization and distribution of the acclaimed fighting game BlazBlue: Continuum Shift (2010), which was also released as a collector-focused BlazBlue: Continuum Shift [Limited Edition] (2010). This partnership continued with the updated release of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend (2012) and its corresponding Blazblue: Continuum Shift Extend [Limited Edition] (2012).
Beyond competitive fighting titles, the company diversified its portfolio to encompass family-friendly and rhythm-based software. This expansion included the release of the dance simulation game Dance! It's Your Stage (2011). By managing physical manufacturing, retail distribution, and digital storefront logistics, the firm bridged the gap between regional developers and global consumers, establishing a robust pipeline for specialized gaming software.
