Tenchu 4 is an updated budget re-release of Tenchu: Shadow Assassins , a classic action-adventure game. The game now includes two-player cooperative play through Wi-Fi, and there are also a number of new missions added which take advantage of the new dynamic. There is also a new character progression system which allows Rikimaru and Ayame to learn new abilities, which can be used in both the original game missions as well as the newly-added ones.
Gameplay in Tenchu 4 takes place on a mix of stealth-based missions and action-packed set-pieces. Players control Rikimaru or Ayame, using their unique abilities to take down enemies and solve puzzles. The game also features a variety of multiplayer modes, including competitive modes and co-op play.
