When world-wide cataclysm threatens to destroy all that's left, it's up to Slayers Royal 's trio - Lina, Gourry, and Naga - to save the day. Along with familiar allies, they must face yet another challenge in a desperate bid to prevent global devastation.

Gameplay in Slayers Royal is a mix of 2D town exploration and 3D turn-based battles. In towns, players can navigate multiple areas, examine objects and people, and engage in conversations with the party members. Lina often finds herself in voice-acted dialogue with her companions, where choices may determine stat upgrades or rewards. Battles are controlled by individual characters, either manually or through automated AI, with each character having unique magic spells that have a wait time before they can be used again.
