Delta Squadron is a strategic space war simulation for the Apple II.nnnnThe player takes the role of Legion Alliance Squadron Commander, and must direct up to 34 small one or two seater fighter spaceships down a long trench and destroy the Cetusites' Main Power Induction Inverter. The Cetusites' base is protected by their own fighters and ground defenses.nnnnThere are a total of 8 scenarios: Slingshot, Confrontation, Point, Protect, Arrowhead, Sweep, Surround, Sandwich, and Genesis. The player can save a scenario in progress, and replay at a different time.nnnnEach vessel has their own pilot with individual experience. The goal is to navigate a fighter the length of the trench, and fire a photon torpedo into the Main Power Induction Inverter. If successful, the enemy structure is destroyed. The game contains 3D-animated cutscenes for combat results, the destruction of the enemy base, and other events.
