F1 World Grand Prix II is a formula one racing game for the Game Boy Color . The game features the FIA license for the '99 season with all drivers, teams and tracks that come along with said license. In this version of the game, players can experience the excitement of F1 racing in 2D, similar to its predecessor.
Gameplay modes include exhibition, Grand Prix, time attack, challenge and match race. The match race mode allows for two-player competition using a link cable. Like the Nintendo 64 version, the challenge mode allows players to replay critical events from the season. Players can adjust car settings such as tyres, gears, wings, and fuel load before and during races, making it even more challenging.
