Dark Chambers is an arcade action game where you play as an explorer in an underground maze. Your goal is to survive 26 different levels, collect hidden treasures, and find your way out. In each level, there's a unique exit that will take you on to the next level. However, you'll need to navigate through hordes of creatures, including zombies, wraiths, skeletons, wizards, and the grim reaper.
The game features various creatures with different strengths. When you shoot one, it transforms into a weaker creature until you finally encounter the weakest one – a zombie that can be destroyed. Alongside creatures and treasures, you'll also find items like keys to unlock doors, potions to restore health, poison to drain health, guns to increase your firing rate, traps, shields, and bombs.
Gameplay is played from an overhead point of view, allowing for strategic combat with the various enemies. You can choose to play solo or team up with a friend for added excitement.
