All-Star Baseball 2000 is the second installment in the All-Star Baseball series, offering a range of improvements and new features compared to its predecessor.
The story mode follows your team as you compete against other teams in an inter-league season or the complete 1999 MLB scheduled season. You'll have to manage your roster, making tough decisions on who to sign from the minor league and create new players with their own stats.
The gameplay is where All-Star Baseball 2000 really shines. The motion captured technology allows for a realistic representation of player movements, swings, throws, and catches. You can play as one of the 30 teams in the game, complete with accurate home stadiums, jerseys, and players' faces that reflect their real-life counterparts.
The game is licensed, so you'll notice attention to detail that's unmatched in other sports games at the time. Longer replays are possible through the use of the Expansion Pak for the Nintendo 64 console.
