Meet Meat Boy, a small but determined cube of meat with a big heart, as he embarks on a perilous journey to rescue his beloved Bandage Girl from the clutches of Dr. Fetus, a sinister foe who will stop at nothing to keep her captive.
Super Meat Boy is a breakneck platformer that puts your reflexes to the test with its lightning-fast pace and punishing difficulty. With just a few seconds to spare between lives, you'll need to master Meat Boy's limited abilities – running, jumping, wall-jumping, and, unfortunately, dying – in order to progress through the game's tightly-packed levels.
The game boasts an astonishing 300+ stages across seven chapters, each with its own unique challenges and surprises. From retro-style bonus stages to high-difficulty variants of classic levels, there's always something new to discover. And with a special chapter on the Xbox 360 release, gamers can look forward to regular updates with new level packs.
Character fans will be delighted to know that over a dozen playable characters from other indie games make appearances in Super Meat Boy , each unlocked through hidden stages or bandage collectibles. The game also features a global leaderboard, where players can compete for the best times and relive their most epic attempts.
Completing a stage is just the beginning – players can view every single attempt made to reach the end, and even save it for posterity.
