The peaceful world of Yoshi's Island has been shattered by Bowser's wicked spell, leaving its inhabitants as mindless slaves. Only Yoshi remains free, and he embarks on a perilous quest to rescue his friends and defeat the nefarious king.
Tetris Attack is a fast-paced action puzzle game that brings the lovable characters from Yoshi's Island to life. A never-ending stream of blocks rises from the bottom of the screen, and players must swap any two blocks horizontally using a cursor. Clearing rows or columns of three or more blocks will send them flying away, potentially triggering combos with new blocks falling into place.
The game offers a variety of modes to challenge players, including a single-player campaign against the computer, a 2-player versus mode, an endless mode where the goal is to clear as many blocks as possible, and a timed mode where players must meet a specific block-clearing target. A unique puzzle mode also tests players' skills in clearing a set arrangement of blocks within a limited number of moves.
