Reversal is a computerized version of Othello where you can play against the computer or another person. If playing against the computer, you can choose the difficulty level and other settings to suit your preference. The computer's moves will be made within set time limits.
The program switches between text and graphic displays. The Hi-Res graphic display shows the current board, with numbers displayed using faces. You can navigate the board using the right and left arrow keys on your Commodore 64. To place a piece, press the return key to select the position and flip the appropriate pieces.
You have the option to undo moves if they're not ideal, or ask for help from the computer. The program will suggest alternative moves. If you need to review past moves, you can switch to text display, where they'll be shown in standard chess notation.
