Sid Meier's Pirates! for the PSP is a mix between the Windows and Xbox versions that were released earlier. As a straight port, not much has changed except for three really notable elements:
The game's story revolves around the player taking on the role of a pirate captain, aiming to be the most feared on the seas. The player must navigate through various ports, engaging in ship-to-ship combat and negotiating with other characters to get what they want.
Gameplay-wise, Sid Meier's Pirates! is a strategy game where the player must make tactical decisions to achieve their goals. This includes managing resources, crew members, and ships, as well as sneaking into ports undetected or engaging in battles with rival pirates.
The PSP version of Sid Meier's Pirates! also adds bonus treasure missions, new locations, and multiplayer support for up to four players through Wi-Fi or Ad Hoc.
