Story Mode Overview
You are a new student at Duel Academy, a training school for duelists, with the ultimate goal of winning the Tag Duel Tournament being held in three months.
Talk to various characters on campus and duel with them to increase your Level of Trust. After establishing a high level of trust, look for a partner for Tag Duels.
Play with your partner against rivals at the Tag Duel Tournament. You are awarded "GX Medals" for winning duels. Collect enough to advance to the finals and win the Championship Duel.
If you are unable to find a partner once three months have passed, it is game over.
Passing the Time
Time passes as you move around on the Field, talk to characters, and trigger certain events. Various changes occur depending on the time of day and the day of the week.
Time during the Tag Duel Tournament only passes when certain events are triggered. You can move around freely from 5:45 AM until 11:45 PM.
Classes are held Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM in classrooms until the tournament starts. Occasionally you can get new cards in class.
