This is a cooperative action-adventure game where players control a team of Nickelodeon heroes and villains. They must work together, utilizing ancient technology, to defend Bikini Bottom from an alien invasion of gooey monsters.
Story
INTRODUCTION
When a gooey meteor shower of impending doom crashes down on Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob meets up with his Nicktoon pals at the Volcano Island Headquarters. They devise a plan to fend off the invasion together!
SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron, INVADER ZIM, Danny Phantom, and Tak join forces. They are surprised when The Evil Syndicate of Plankton, Beautiful Gorgeous, Dib, Technus and Traloc offer an alliance against their common enemy.
Making use of the ancient and secret Mawgu technology, they plan to rid the world of this gooey epidemic. Now you join these ten good and evil-doers to protect the planet from the Morphoid Globs of Doom!

GETTING STARTED
Set up your PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system according to the instructions supplied with your system. Check that the system is turned on (the on/standby indicator is green).
Insert the SpongeBob SquarePants featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom disc in the system with the label side facing up. Attach game controllers and other peripherals as appropriate. Follow the on-screen instructions and refer to this manual for information on using the software.
Memory Card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2)
To save game settings and progress, insert a memory card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2) into MEMORY CARD slot 1 of your PlayStation®2 system.
You can load saved game data from the same memory card or any memory card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2) containing previously saved games.
GADGET COMBOS
SINGLE PLAYER
Each of the ten playable characters is newly fitted with a Mawgu Gadget. Using a Mawgu Gadget costs energy from the Mawgu Meter under the Health Bar. These Gadgets can also be used to perform combos.
Keep an eye on the combo meter. As enemies are defeated using a gadget attack it will fill until a combo is available. To perform a combo, press the L1 button and follow the onscreen prompt.
For example: Here, press the button then the button within the time limit to perform the combo. A successful combo will defeat all enemies on screen.
MULTIPLAYER
In multiplayer mode, each player must perform their own combo move.
For example: Here, the first player presses the button, button, button while the second player presses the button, button, button, button both before the time limit. When this is successfully completed the characters will perform a joint combo to clear the area of enemies.

All undersea hi-jinx aside, these two are ready for action. SpongeBob's new Mawgu Bubble Machine and Plankton's Mawgu Mallet will prove themselves useful in battle!
Invaders
Let's face it; these guys aren't from around here. Nonetheless they are excited to test out ZIM's new Mawgu Plunger (of Doom!) and Dib's enhanced Mawgu Balloon Launcher on some unsuspecting Morphoids.
Amity Park-ers
This ghostly duo is ready to take a break from haunting each other to save the world. Danny's newfound cloning ability and Technus's Mawgu Gauntlets are just the upgrades they needed.
Retroville-agers
The Boy Genius and Girl Nefarious have set aside their history to help solve this mystery. Jimmy's mind-control Mawgu Head Band is the perfect complement to Beautiful's emotion-control Mawgu Megaphone.
Pupununu Villagers
These two have given their old Juju some new mojo. Tak's Mawgu enhanced Staff and Traloc's pouch has given their powerful Juju magic a little extra kick.

Money for buying items in the shops.
Health
Heals a portion of the character's health by a percentage.
Make your characters more durable
Purchase upgrades at the Mawgu Lair's shop.
Combo attack
Different pairings of characters changes your combo attack, experiment a little!
Play as the villains
Don't be afraid to play as the villains!
Replay a level
Replay a level as often as you'd like! Collect all those coins you missed on the first go!
Refill your health
Passing through a portal is a quick and easy way to refill your health.
