Spitfire , a part of Videocart-4 , is an aerial dogfighting game. The objective is to shoot down your opponent's plane to score points. The player with the most points at the end wins. In this game, your bi-planes have the freedom to fly anywhere on the screen, which wraps around. If you fly off one side, you will reappear on the other side. You can also hide just off the screen to try and sneak up on an opponent, but be cautious as you are still vulnerable to attacks.
The game can be played by two players against each other or one player against the computer. When playing against the computer, the skill level will vary throughout the game. If you successfully shoot down the computer, its skill level will increase; however, if the computer shoots you down more times, its skill level will decrease.
