Victorious Boxers is a boxing game based on the manga Hajime no Ippo. The story mode features almost every match from the manga up until Takamura's match with David Eagle, where you get to face most of the 81 playable characters, including Ippo himself and his coach.
The gameplay involves throwing jabs, straights, hooks, and uppercuts at your opponent, and swaying and dodging by holding down one button while steering the character. The characters with special attacks are equipped with these, and the specials can be thrown by holding down a button and pressing a corresponding punch button.
