MUD: FIM Motocross World Championship is a racing game that focuses on action rather than simulation. It is licensed to feature the original teams, vehicles, courses, and athletes from the FIM Championship.
The core of the game is the Mud World Tour, which serves as a career mode. By performing well in events (such as normal races, checkpoint races, elimination races, head-to-head races, or freestyle/trick events), players earn money that can be invested in improving their driver's statistics, equipment, and participating in future events.
The game offers several playable modes, including single races, playing the Championship (MX1, MX2, or custom), and participating in freestyle events. In regular races, tricks are only necessary when performing a specific stunt while airborne, which requires precise timing to execute correctly.
Multiplayer allows for racing with up to 12 players. Note that the PS Vita version has fewer machines in each race compared to the original PlayStation 3 version.
