Ristar , released in 1995, tells the story of a hero who must save a solar system from an evil tyrant named Greedy. Greedy has corrupted the leaders of each world, enslaving their populations, and sent his minions to enforce his rule. The player's character, Ristar, is the last hope for the system.
As Ristar, the player must navigate through various worlds, using his unique ability to stretch out his arms to grab enemies, summarily headbutt them, and climb up on surfaces. With his star power, he gains new abilities that aid in his quest to liberate the solar system from Greedy's grasp.
