Virtual Pinball is the spiritual successor to Bill Budge's classic Pinball Construction Set . Programmed by Bill Budge, this Sega Genesis game allows the player to try different pre-built pinball tables and additionally create, save and play custom tables.
The story of Virtual Pinball revolves around its creator, Bill Budge. He had previously released the Pinball Construction Set, which allowed players to build their own pinball machines from scratch. With Virtual Pinball, he built upon this concept by creating a game that lets players try and create their own pinball experiences.
The gameplay of Virtual Pinball is an arcade-style pinball experience, where the player controls their ball through various obstacles and challenges to score points. The game features multiple tables, each with its own unique layout and set of rules. Players can try different pre-built tables or create and save their own custom layouts.
Virtual Pinball was released in 1993 for the Sega Genesis console.
